In a crystal Castle of Dreams quietly lived a lonely Hope. Each morning she would go out on the Wharf of Unfulfilled Dreams and sadly look at the raging Sea of Deception. Gentle Dawn with quivering wings would hug her frail shoulders, and promise fulfillment of all her most secret desires. Hot Afternoon would burn her body with rays of passion and then would shelter her in the shade of thorny flowers of Fading Love. Tender Evening would envelop her in a soft cloak of flowing tears and after that, tired Hope would return again to her crystal Castle, where she would be awaited by Dark Night and a cold bed of Loneliness.

The first painting I consider “the starting point” – is “Requiem”. I have been painting all my life, but I regard it as my First art work.  I doubt that there are words that can describe my feelings at that time. We were young, in love and happy. Outside was September and the wind of change was breathing over the city. “You should paint”, he said once. Yet I was hesitating. I was also hesitating when he brought me an engaging ring and a huge bouquet of blood-red roses. All night I cried looking at a single broken rose. And the next morning I left... I didn’t say “yes” or “no” – I just painted “Requiem”…
